WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) -- Folks were shuckin' away at the 2nd annual Oyster Roast in Wrightsville Beach today. Among those folks were candidates and a current Congressmen.
With less than 48 hours to go until election, we caught up with US Representative Mike McIntyre. This will be the first time in 20 years the Democrat has not been on the campaign trail. We asked what it would be like not to see his name on the ballot.
"It's also nice to have a change," McIntyre said. "We can look back on a wonderful time working with and serving people of North Carolina."
McIntyre declined comment on any of the current races, including the one for his seat.
